POLICY

As a reviewer I accept Advanced Reviewing Copies (ARCs) and Reviewing Copies (RCs) and will state this if I was provided with one on the top of every review. E.g. ARC/RC kindly provided by [publishing company or author name] via [from where/whom it was provided] in exchange for an honest review. I will never give ARCs/RCs away, sell them or dispose of them.

I accept paperback, hardback and ebook copies.  My preferred ebook format it .epub (Epub) or .mobi (Kindle). They may be indie pressed, self-published, or published by a firm. If the book is part of a series, I will need the previous book(s). If you would like for me to review a young-adult novel, then paperback or hardback is preferred; if a new-adult or adult novel, then ebook is preferred.

I accept review requests in the following preferred, fiction genres: Young Adult, Romance, Science Fiction, Fantasy, New Adult, Paranormal, Chick Lit, Historical, Contemporary and Children’s Middle Grade. This does not, however, mean that I will not consider books from other genres! I love novels and will consider any book with a great synopsis, plot or blurb.

I cannot promise to agree to every review request, nor can I guarantee to review unsolicited review copies of novels sent to me. I will consider all queries and review copies sent my way but I regret that I am not able to respond to all email enquiries though I WILL try. If you don’t hear from me in a timely fashion, please assume I am not able to accept your request. Please also be aware than even if I do accept your request, it does not guarantee a review.

If I do reply to your review request via email, then please expect to see a review on my blog. I will review within a week after the novel has been read and will email you back with the links to the review. I will always try to review the novel within a timely manner but if you desperately need the review to be written by a certain date, let me know, and I will see what I can do.

If I am to schedule reviews for a specific date then please give me a month’s notice from when I receive the book to the time I review it. If I do not get the book on time, I will reschedule.

My reviews are often very thorough and talk not only about the story/plot but also about its grammar, spelling, typing, structure and layout. They are often around a page long for novels and half a page for novellas.

I will always be super honest in my reviews, so I beg of you to please not send me negative emails if I give you a bad review. I am only critiquing the book and not the author personally. I may also choose not to review a novel I don’t like, so please keep that in mind, even though I rarely do.

Rating Plan
1 star : Strongly did not like the book, writing and plot was bad. Idea of the book was against my liking.
2 star : Didn't like it, didn't find it interesting or gripping. Seemed to drag on to me.
3 star : An average book. Wasn't bad or good. Everything else was well done. Original idea.
4 star : Like a 3 star but has potential to it as a series or the book grew on me as it progressed and certain scenes captured me. I enjoyed it and read it in one sitting.
5 star : I LOVED IT! I stayed up late until 3 am. Author is a genius, characters, plot, idea, development, EVERYTHING was EXCELLENT. Nothing else can possibly be said except that its 5 STAR!
